I'd like to end my hiatus from playing surfering music. The band played for 4-5 years and did some interesting gigs. I still get calls for a Surf Rock band and I'd like to get out and play again. If you call me please know a few vintage Surf classics other than say,Wipeout, and maybe a rockabilly song or two.

SURF BAND START-UP IN CT/NY

Looking to start a modern surf band in Fairfield County Connecticut/Westchester County New York areas.  I currently reside in Danbury, CT and play instrumental surf music.  My name is Matt, I am 27 years old and have played guitar for the past 17, more specifically surf guitar for the past 3-4 years.  I have my own equipment and am looking to start a fun band that will play out occasionally but am not really considering being a touring musician at this time.  Looking for like minded, talented individuals.  My influences include the following: The Space Cossacks, The Madeira, Laika and the Cosmonauts, Slacktone, The Ghastly Ones, The Bitch Boys and of course all of the original first wave surf bands.  Please respond by email, thanks! matthewgrassi@gmail.com

1/1/11 - SUBSTITUTE GUITARIST AVAILABLE - PHILLY AND BEYOND

Surf guitarist available to substitute when one of your guitarists can't make it to a gig. I can play the lead on about 60 traditional instro surf tunes, and am happy to learn others as needed. I'm the leader and lead guitarist of "Surf and Turf", a Philadelphia based traditional surf band, is.  I successfully subbed with "Hang Daddy" with one week's notice.
