2. How and when did you get started with your band?

Started in 2000 when I heard the departure of a Linoleum Blownaparte from a band called the Frencheese.  I joined the remaining members and we formed theUNIDENTIFIED.

3. What bands or music have influenced you most?

It’s all over the place:
Dead Kennedys, GuitarWolf, Link Wray, Agent Orange, Angelo Badalamenti, The Surfaris, Man Or Astroman?, Dick Dale, Portishead, Rev. Horton Heat, The Cramps, Samhain, The Bomboras, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, the Who, W.A. Mozart, Chopin, Vivaldi, Jesse Cook, Malo, The Degenerics, anything Rock-a-billy or psych/garage…

4. What is the break down of cover vs. original material in your live shows and/or recordings?

We usually do a few covers in a set – when we are in the mood. Depends on the crowd and what they want to hear

5. What recording have you done?
“00.02 EP”   Recorded in 2002 / Limited release in 2002 / Out of Print

“Secret Audio Suspense”     Recorded in 2004 / Release 2005 / currently available

6. What kind of gear do you use?

Lots of old stuff: Sound City 120, Sound City X 188, Gretsch guitars, Mosrite guitars, Fender basses, Ludwig drums, a wide assortment of pedals, Black Box theremin

7. What is your band’s favorite food/beverage?

Beef jerky, hamburgers, empanadas, salad, beer, whiskey and Baked Alaska.

8. How do you get gigs?

We have a great scene here in NJ – so booking them ourselves is the way to go. Our next show is April 12th 2006 at the Asbury Lanes.

9. What are the difficulties you find playing your kind of music in your area?

Not much – again, we have a very open minded scene here – we been received very well at all the shows that we have done.

10. What positive attributes does your band have that sets you apart from other bands (of any genre)?

We’re old skool punk and surf mixed with a dash of flamenco, we’re really loud and we rock a theremin.

11. What have you found to be the single most effective promotional tool you’ve used to further your band’s musical path?

For right now – I have to say it has to be internet, specifically myspace.com.

12. What’s the most interesting performance experience you’ve had?

They are all interesting at one point or another. If anything, the first time we played the Asbury Lanes.

13. What do you hope to get out of being a NESMA member?

Haven't really thought too much about it. If people dig it, COOL!!!
