5/22/07 - Dick Dale and SPF-4 in MA

Hello fellow NESMANS.  Greetings and Salutations!!
The Dick Dale show at The Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, MA went as follows:
NESMA's very own SPF-4 took the stage, to warm the crowd up for DD himself, and ROCKED the house!!!!!!!!
The group was so tight, I was very impressed.  I didn't think it was possible, but, they get better every time I see them!!!!!!
It was so great to see Dave, Rob, Tony and Craig again.  I was so flattered and honored that they even remembered me.   When they dedicated the song "Cruiser" to me at the end of their set, I was really touched.  Thanks guys, I hope to see you all very soon.  Keep Rockin'!!!
DD took the stage, playing from the sidewalk outside, and shredded as usual.  He was in great form, and was in a very chatty mood.  He yapped a lot more than usual, but, it didn't seem to take anything away from his show.  In fact not only did he play all the standards, he managed to sneak in a few I haven't heard in a while.  70 years old and still kickin' ass!!!
History was made that evening, as it was the very first time my children got to meet the man himself.  The event brought a tear to my eye after an 11 year friendship with DD.
Peace, Love & Surf
